About

This course will cover traveling to France. The course is divided into three main parts.

In Part One, we’ll teach you how to interact successfully with locals.

In Part Two, we will cover a topic that is important to today’s travelers, what you should do if you get sick while traveling in France.

Throughout the course, you will learn basic French phrases in context. These are called Language Tips and you will see them throughout the course highlighted in blue.

This training will run for about one hour, but you can stop the course and pick it up again whenever convenient. You might also want to run the key phrases sections a few times to practice speaking a little French.

Bon voyage! (Have a good trip!)
Goals
At the end of this course, you should be able to:

Use culturally appropriate ways to interact with the French in basic travel-related interactions.
Use basic travel vocabulary.
List two ways to get help if you get sick while traveling.
Explain the difference between pharmacies in the U.S. and pharmacies in France.
We hope you are excited about planning a trip to France. You will find the country is fascinating, the people are warm and inviting and the food and the museums are the best in the world. There is so much to see and do in France.
Requirements
In this course, we assume that you do not speak French. If you had some French in school, that is fantastic and will help you with pronunciation. If you have not taken any formal French, don't worry, in Part Three, we will revisit the phrases you learned throughout the course and learn a few more. These words and phrases will help bridge the language barrier.
